Springbok is the most remote place we deliver to, and it deserves a straight answer rather than a sales promise. You are on the N7 about 550 km north of Cape Town and only around 120 km short of the Namibian border at Vioolsdrif, in a town of a few thousand people with old copper-mining settlements — Okiep, Nababeep, Concordia — scattered around it. There is no VW dismantler within several hundred kilometres, and the nearest franchise parts counter is a serious drive. So when something breaks, the realistic choice is a delivered used part or a very long trip. Plan on three to four working days from our Johannesburg yard, usually routed through the Cape rather than straight across, and understand that a bare engine or a full door skin travels as road freight with its own quote. What fails here is dust and distance work: air filtration, wheel bearings, shock absorbers, CV boots and windscreen and light damage from stone chips on the gravel runs out towards Port Nolloth, Kleinzee and the flower routes. Because a wrong part costs a week rather than an afternoon, we would rather spend ten extra minutes checking your VIN and engine code than ship something that has to come back.
