Used VW Interior for Sale

Seats, dashboards, trim, airbags and infotainment. Interior colour and trim level matter more than the model year on these parts, so photos of what you have go a long way towards getting a match that does not look like a repair.

Interior we carry

Seats

Front and rear seats in cloth, sold individually or as full sets. Bolster wear on the driver seat is the usual reason for replacing one, and any seat with a side airbag built in must be handled as an airbag part, not just upholstery.

Leather Seats

Leather and Vienna leather seat sets off higher-spec Golf, Passat, Tiguan and Touareg models. A complete set is the cheapest way to upgrade a cloth interior, and heated seats bring their own wiring, so ask whether the loom came out with them.

Dashboards

Complete dashboard assemblies, usually supplied without the airbag. Sun damage cracks the top face on cars parked outside all day, and the mounting points differ between left and right-hand-drive, so we only stock right-hand-drive units.

Steering Wheels

Steering wheels in leather and urethane, with and without multifunction buttons and paddles. Fitting a multifunction wheel to a car that never had one needs the right slip ring and coding, so check that before you buy the upgrade.

Airbags

Driver, passenger, side and curtain airbags plus crash sensors and control modules. These are safety-critical parts and we only supply undeployed units with the module resistance checked — fitting must be done by a qualified auto electrician.

Seat Belts

Seat belts with their pretensioners, buckles and stalks. A belt that has fired its pretensioner in a collision is scrap, so we only sell unfired units, and the retractor must be the correct handed part for the side you are fitting.

Door Cards

Interior door trim panels with their handles, speaker grilles and pull cups. The clips break every time a panel is removed and the armrest fabric lifts with age, so a clean panel in the right interior colour is worth hunting for.

Centre Consoles

Centre consoles with armrests, cup holders, storage bins and the trim around the handbrake. The armrest hinge and the sliding lid are what break first, and console styling changed at every facelift, so match the model generation carefully.

Gear Knobs

Gear knobs and gaiters for manual and DSG models, including the GTI golf-ball knob. Leather gaiters split at the base and the knob itself wears smooth on a high-mileage car, and this is one of the cheapest ways to freshen an interior.

Radios

RCD and RNS head units in single and double DIN. Most VW radios are security-coded to the car, so we supply the unit with its label and serial where possible — without the code the radio is a paperweight until a dealer unlocks it.

Infotainment Screens

Touchscreen display units and their control modules off Composition, Discover and MIB systems. Delamination and dead touch zones are the usual complaints, and the screen must match the head unit generation or it simply will not communicate.

Climate Control Panels

Climatronic and manual aircon control panels with their knobs and blower switches. Backlight failure and a blower that only works on the highest setting are the two faults people bring us, the second usually being the resistor behind the panel.

Glove Boxes

Glove box assemblies with lids, latches, dampers and the light inside. The latch and the soft-open damper break long before the box does, and the cooled glove boxes on higher trims have an extra air duct on the back.

Carpets

Moulded floor carpets and boot linings. Flood damage and long-term water ingress from a blocked sunroof drain are what ruin these, and a dry used carpet in the right colour is the only real fix once the padding underneath has gone mouldy.

Headliners

Roof linings with their grab handles, sun visors and courtesy light housings. The foam backing lets go in the heat and the fabric sags onto your head, and a lining with a sunroof cut-out will not fit a car without one.

Pedal Boxes

Pedal assemblies with the brake light switch, clutch switch and accelerator position sensor. A faulty brake light switch stops cruise control working and can put an automatic into limp mode, which sends people chasing far more expensive faults.
