Calipers, discs, ABS pumps, master cylinders and boosters for the full VW range. Braking parts are the one area where we will tell you to buy new rather than used if the wear is marginal — everything we do sell used is measured and photographed first.
Brakes we carry
Brake Calipers
Front and rear calipers including the electric parking-brake calipers on later Golf, Passat and Tiguan models. Seized pistons and sticking slide pins are what bring most buyers here, so we check that each piston still pushes back freely before it goes out.
Brake Discs
Vented and solid brake discs in the sizes VW used across Golf, Polo, Jetta and Tiguan. We only sell used discs that still measure above minimum thickness with no lip on the outer edge — anything scored or below spec goes to scrap, not to a customer.
ABS Pumps
ABS hydraulic units and control modules for VW models running Bosch and Teves systems. An ABS light with a stored pump-motor fault normally means the module, and matching the exact part number on the old unit is essential because coding differs between them.
Master Cylinders
Brake master cylinders with and without the reservoir attached. A pedal that slowly sinks to the floor with no visible leak is a master cylinder passing internally, and the used part is a fraction of what a dealer charges for the same casting.
Brake Boosters
Vacuum brake boosters and servo units. A hard pedal that needs both feet usually points to a leaking booster diaphragm or the vacuum pump feeding it, and boosters rarely fail on a scrapped car so used stock here is generally in good order.
Handbrake Cables
Handbrake cables, levers and the equaliser hardware between them. Cables seize in their outer sleeves after a few Highveld summers and rust through on coastal cars, and the left and right lengths are different, so tell us which side you need.
ABS Sensors
Wheel speed sensors and their reluctor rings for VW models. One dirty or open-circuit sensor lights up ABS, ESP and traction control together, which looks alarming and is usually the cheapest fault on the car to fix. Front and rear parts differ.
